Cancer due to drug injuries could be top killer

Cancer could become the world’s number one killer, and it could be due to drug injuries, according to the Associated Press.

The World Health Organization reported that by 2010 cancer will overtake heart disease as the number one killer; drug injuries due to high smoking rates in developing countries could be the reason.

40 percent of smokers, who are at an increased risk for developing cancer as a result of drug injuries brought on by smoking, now live in developing areas such as China and India.

Girl dies in parade auto accident

A girl died as the result of an auto accident that occurred during a Christmas parade Saturday, according to the Associated Press.

The auto accident occurred when the 10-year-old auto accident victim was told to stop jumping off the trailer on which she was riding in during a Christmas parade. The girl did not stop and fell off the trailer and hit her head.

The auto accident victim was then struck by the truck behind her.

The Texas auto accident victim was taken to the hospital where she died as a result of the parade accident.

Auto accident kills three

An auto accident killed three people when the driver of a vehicle broke through the arms of a railroad crossing Saturday, according to WFTV.

The auto accident occurred when the 22-year-old male driver drove his 1994 Buick through the safety arms of a railroad crossing and collided with an Amtrak train carrying 167 passengers.

The driver and two passengers in the Buick were killed in the auto accident. Another injured passenger was in serious condition following the crash.

The Buick was traveling at 55 mph at the time of the auto accident. The speed limit on the street is 40 mph.

Many of the passengers on the Amtrak were returning from Thanksgiving.

Texas auto accidents can occur when drivers don’t follow the speed limit.
