Researchers reported that cholesterol medications could increase the risk of diabetes, according to Reuters.

Crestor and other cholesterol-lowering medications could cause drug injuries such as an increased risk for diabetes.

Researchers do not know what is behind the link; however, Texas patients who take statins might be at an increased risk for Texas drug injuries like diabetes.

Drug injuries could result from HIV medication

The warning comes after 42 reports of a rare and potentially fatal disorder occurring in patients who take the drug Videx.

In light of the news about the potential drug injuries, makers of the drug have been ordered to add information regarding the risks to packing of Videx.

Texas patients who take Videx could be at risk for Texas drug injuries as a result.
