Risks and Injuries of GranuFlo® and NaturaLyte®
GranuFlo® and NaturaLyte® are dialysate products manufactured by Fresenius Medical Care that were used in kidney dialysis machines across the country from 2008 to 2012. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a Class I Recall of these products because of their link to serious heart problems, including cardiac arrhythmias and even death.

Types of GranuFlo® and NaturaLyte® Injuries
Both GranuFlo and NaturaLyte have been linked to life-threatening injuries and complications, such as:
- Heart Attacks
Some kidney dialysis patients who were treated with GranuFlo and NaturaLyte have high levels of a chemical called bicarbonate in their blood, which can increase the risk of heart attacks.
- Sudden Death
GranuFlo and NaturaLyte can decrease levels of potassium in patients’ blood. If the level of potassium in patients’ bodies is too low, cardiac arrhythmia may occur, which can lead to death.
Patients who suffer from cardiac injuries may develop other health complications that require expensive medical treatments. If you were injured by GranuFlo or NaturaLyte, you shouldn’t have to pay because the manufacturer was negligent. Let Ferrer, Poirot & Wansbrough fight for your rights.
