Ethex Drug Recall Lawyer

Ethex Corporation, a major manufacturer of generic drugs, has recalled more than 60 products after it was discovered their pills may contain up to twice the active ingredients specified (1).

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), "Some of these products have had specific lots recalled earlier due to defects found, including oversized tablets delivering higher than labeled doses (1)."

The affected drugs include morphine, dextroamphetanime, oxycodone, and other drugs that can have life-threatening side effects when accidentally taken in excess (2).

Dangerous Side Effects

The recalled pills, which include ADHD drugs, pain medications, heart regulators, and a number of other prescriptions, have potential overdose side effects such as:

  • arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat)
  • fainting
  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • hypotension (low blood pressure)
  • respiratory depression
  • tachycardia (rapid heartbeat)
