Avastin, Genetech’s block-buster cancer drug, used in combination with Pfizer’s Sutent can cause drug injuries such as microangiopathic hemolytic anemia.
Avastin is approved to treat colon, lung, and breast cancer. Sutent is one of the most-widely used drugs for treatment of kidney cancer.
However, in this clinical trial, combined use of the drugs could cause national and Texas drug injuries such as anemia.
