According to the American Cancer Society, the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) reported that E-Cigarettes may contain toxins and could therefore cause drug injuries.
The E-Cigarettes, or electronic cigarettes, were sold as a method of smoking cessation. However, the FDA says even E-Cigarettes have toxins. A toxin thought to be present in E-Cigarettes is diethylene glycol, a chemical found in antifreeze.
In a sample of 18 types of E-Cigarettes, half of them contained impurities and cancer-causing substances.
E-Cigarettes could cause drug injuries such as cancer due to the substances in them. Texans who use E-Cigarettes could be at risk for Texas drug injuries.
