A 25-year-old Grand Prairie, Texas, man remains behind bars today after causing a drunk driving accident that claimed the lives of two people and injured three others. According to MYFOX-DFW News, the crash occurred at the intersection of Davis Street and Glipin Avenue in the Dallas suburb of Oak Cliff just before midnight Sunday.

Police reports indicate a GMC Terrain carrying five people was stopped on Davis Street at a red light, when a Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by the intoxicated man, smashed into the rear-end of the SUV.

While two 57-year-old backseat passengers in the GMC were killed upon impact, the driver and front seat passenger, along with a child in a safety seat, were all seriously injured and rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
