A 34-year-old Dallas, Texas, man has been charged following an accident that claimed the lives of two people and left a young girl seriously injured. The Dallas Morning News stated the accident occurred Monday around 9:30 p.m., at the corner of Military Parkway and Jim Miller Road.
Reports indicate the man responsible for the crash was driving a black 1999 Ford Taurus sedan when he blew through a red light moments before colliding with three other vehicles. The impact of the Dallas Auto Accident caused an 8-year-old passenger in the Taurus to be ejected from the vehicle, while the two adults in the vehicle died at the scene. The child was found by officers in the street and rushed to a local hospital.
The driver of the Honda was uninjured, while the driver of the Trailblazer was also transported to the hospital for an examination of non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver responsible for the crash attempted to flee the scene, but was detained by a witness until police could arrive. He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.

A 25-year-old Grand Prairie, Texas, man remains behind bars today after causing a drunk driving accident that claimed the lives of two people and injured three others. According to MYFOX-DFW News, the crash occurred at the intersection of Davis Street and Glipin Avenue in the Dallas suburb of Oak Cliff just before midnight Sunday.
Police reports indicate a GMC Terrain carrying five people was stopped on Davis Street at a red light, when a Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by the intoxicated man, smashed into the rear-end of the SUV.
While two 57-year-old backseat passengers in the GMC were killed upon impact, the driver and front seat passenger, along with a child in a safety seat, were all seriously injured and rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Upon investigating the scene of the Dallas auto accident, police were able to determine the 25-year-old driver had been consuming alcohol in the hours prior to the accident and placed him under arrest Monday morning on two counts of intoxication manslaughter. Officers added more charges against the driver that are pending the conclusion of their investigation.
