Amarillo reported that an auto accident occurred when a bus was stopped at the intersection of Bell Street and 34th Avenue Wednesday.

The auto accident occurred when a car rear-ended another vehicle at the red light, causing that vehicle to strike the bus.

No students were aboard the bus when the vehicle hit it. However, the driver of the vehicle that started the chain reaction at the intersection was taken to a hospital for treatment of a knee injury.

The school bus received minimal damage as a result of the car accident.  However, people in Texas could suffer Texas auto accident injuries if they are rear-ended.

Driver in fatal auto accident not intoxicated

by fpw | October 16th, 2008

October 16, 2008

The Associated Press reported that the driver in a fatal auto accident that killed nine people riding a bus to a casino was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The auto accident occurred when the bus crashed, killing nine of the 42 people on board, many of whom were Laotian senior citizens.

Some of the victims of the auto accident remain hospitalized, but investigators have determined that the driver was not intoxicated as was suspected when the crash first happened.

Investigators are unsure whether the driver fell asleep or, as his family suggests, may have been affected by a medical condition that caused him to lose consciousness, causing the auto accident.

However, it is clear that he did not have proper licensure to operate a bus carrying more than ten people.

Texas auto accidents could occur when drivers are not properly trained and licensed to operate vehicles that carry larger numbers of passengers.
