The chemical-based firefighting foam (known as aqueous film-forming foam or AFFF) has been sold to fire officials to help put out fires for decades. What our firefighters didn’t know until recently is that the manufacturers of AFFF have used dangerous chemicals called PFAS to make this foam since the 1960s.
Those most at risk are military firefighters and firefighters assigned to airports. If you or a loved one was exposed to firefighting foam on the job and was diagnosed with cancer, you may deserve compensation.
