While taking dietary supplements have become an essential part of many American’s lives, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning last week that certain products may present users with serious health risks.

The FDA stated that Purity Fist B-50 tablets manufactured by Healthy Life Chemistry may actually contain an anabolic steroids and Diamethazine, a synthetic stimulant. Consumption of the product can lead to serious Workout Supplement Dangers, including:

  • Fatigue
  • Cramping
  • Muscle Pain
  • Abnormal Liver Function
  • Abnormal Thyroid Function
  • Cholesterol Level Fluctuations
  • Risk of Heart Attack or Stroke

An FDA Press Release explains that so far, 29 adverse health events have been reported in connection to consumers using this particular product. The FDA alleges consumers had no idea of what they were taking because the ingredients were not included on the product’s label.

The warnings underscore the serious dangers that undeclared ingredients in supplements can pose to users. That is why the FDA is urging doctors to ask patients if they are taking any products that were purchased over-the-counter if they display potential signs of taking an anabolic steroid. Consumers are urged to dispose of the tablets if they are in possession of the affected product.

The Drug Injury Lawyers with Ferrer Poirot Feller Daniel recognize the risks adulterated medications and supplements can pose and encourage anyone who has been harmed by such a product to discuss their legal rights with an attorney immediately.
