A 34-year-old Dallas, Texas, man has been charged following an accident that claimed the lives of two people and left a young girl seriously injured. The Dallas Morning News stated the accident occurred Monday around 9:30 p.m., at the corner of Military Parkway and Jim Miller Road.
Reports indicate the man responsible for the crash was driving a black 1999 Ford Taurus sedan when he blew through a red light moments before colliding with three other vehicles. The impact of the Dallas Auto Accident caused an 8-year-old passenger in the Taurus to be ejected from the vehicle, while the two adults in the vehicle died at the scene. The child was found by officers in the street and rushed to a local hospital.
The driver of the Honda was uninjured, while the driver of the Trailblazer was also transported to the hospital for an examination of non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver responsible for the crash attempted to flee the scene, but was detained by a witness until police could arrive. He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.
