The FDA reported that it has ordered the manufacturers of fluoroquinolone to put a boxed warning on the drug to indicate the risk for drug injuries such as tendonitis and tendon rupture.
The FDA also warned that manufacturers must provide a medication guide to patients that addresses possible drug injuries and side effects.
Fluoroquinolones are drugs approved for treatment of bacterial infections, but patients should be aware of the possible risk for drug injuries such as tendonitis and tendon rupture.
Fluoroquinolones could cause Texas drug injuries to Texans taking the medication.
