A California company called Je Dois L’avoir Boutique is recalling two of its dietary supplements designed to aid in weight loss. 365 Skinny High Intensity Pills and 365 Skinny Emergency Boutique are being recalled after it was found that they contained sibutramine, which is considered a controlled substance by the DEA due to the health risks it poses to people who ingest it.
People exposed to either supplement may develop complications such as seizures, tachycardia, palpitations, heart attacks, and allergic reactions. The risks are elevated in people with high blood pressure, thyroid disease, over age 65, and children under age 16. Thankfully, no adverse events have been reported yet.
Note that ALL lots of these pills are being recalled by the manufacturer. That means any supplements labeled 365 Skinny High Intensity Pills and 365 Emergency Boutique is subject to this recall, as they all contain sibutramine, which can put users’ health at risk. If you purchased either of these supplements, discontinue them immediately. You can then return them to the store where you purchased them or discard them.
