A 21-year-old man from Sherman, Texas, remains in critical condition following a Texas Motorcycle Accident with a drunk driver. According to KTEN 10 News, the crash occurred Sunday at around 7:00 p.m. at the corner of 1st Street and Spring Road.

Reports indicate the victim and a friend were riding their motorcycles northbound on 1st Street. As the bike began to approach the intersection with Spring Road, a red pickup truck being driven by an intoxicated 50-year-old man attempted to make a left turn in front of the bikes. The victim was unable to stop his motorcycle in time and collided with the truck. The impact caused the bike and its rider to careen off the road, where they then struck a tree.

Rescue crews arrived at the scene and rushed the injured motorcyclist to a local trauma center. Doctors determined the victim suffered extensive injuries as a result of the collision, including multiple broken bones and serious internal injuries. The young man also lost a leg.

Further investigation into the crash determined the driver of the truck was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was placed under arrest and will now face between two and 20-year in prison for his crimes.

The Dallas Personal Injury Lawyers with the law firm of Ferrer Poirot Feller Daniel would like to wish the injured biker a full and speedy recovery from his injuries!
