James Hearon earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2011. He then began working as a software developer at a consulting firm in Richardson, TX. James continued working in software while he attended the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2015. While in law school, he was involved in the Intellectual Property Organization and worked as a student attorney in both the Patent Clinic and the Civil Clinic.

Prior to joining Ferrer Poirot Feller Daniel, James clerked at a civil litigation firm working on consumer protection issues involving the DTPA, TCPA, and FDCPA. Since joining Ferrer Poirot Feller Daniel in 2016, James has focused on pharmaceutical litigation in the Dallas office. He is licensed to practice law in Texas.

An active participant in the professional and legal community, James is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
