Consumer advocacy group seeks to ban birth control patch due to drug injury risk

May 15, 2008 USA Today reported that Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy group, is calling for the ban of Ortho Evra birth control patch due to increased risks for drug injuries such as fatal blood clots. Public Citizen claims that the patch exposes women to larger amounts of estrogen which can cause potential drug injuries.
